“For many years, Retro Bar on Sackville Street has been a staple of the Manchester music scene. Multiple prominent artists have played there, along with thousands of grassroots acts who had just started their journey. Whether you made it big or not, Retro was always there as a welcoming and safe space for you to perform in front of a crowd, even a few budding promoters cut their teeth within its walls.

Now, because of a big developement planned, Retro is to be torn down, with not a thought about what it means to the circuit and the city. With limited time to act, the team at Retro have started a fundraiser in order to help them secure a new premises.

With that in mind, Northern Parasol, Clampdown Promotions, Outsiders, Gloom 139 and in partnership with the Music Venue Trust are delighted to announce our Save The Retro fundraiser at the main stage of the iconic Band On The Wall.

And what a lineup we have, our headliners are Strawberry Lemonade. Having sold out Deaf Institute and performing festivals across the country, they have become one of the most exciting up & coming artists in the country and we couldn’t be happier to have them joining this bill.

Making up the line-up are three of the finest acts from Manchester’s grassroots scene, the powerhouse of Sugartung, the unparalleled Fork! and the groovy heartbeat of Retro itself, Llama Llama.
